We have not played on the 6 meter bands here at VA3GY. So I made the decision this year to replace the little used 70cm beams on the tower with a 6M beam.

This configuration has been in service since 2002

 So we got to work.......

The whole effort took no more than 90 minutes and we had the installation done. the only thing left at the end was to waterproof the connectors where the flying lead of the antenna joins into the Andrew 1/2" feedline - there was a swarm of mean looking Hornets at the top of the tower and I left that for another day.
